From Graham Crackers to Grinders:
Enhancing Your Afterschool Program with Suppers
Details
Fri, Jan 10, 2014 @ 11:00 AM EST for 1 Hour with Genevieve Caron
Join End Hunger Connecticut! and the Connecticut After School Network on January 10, 2014 at 11:00am for a one hour introductory webinar about partnering with food and nutrition services to enhance your afterschool program through the federal Child and Adult Care Food Program’s At-Risk Afterschool Meals (aka: Supper Program). The Supper Program provides free, nutritious meals to your afterschool participants without a lot of red tape. Evidence suggests that providing nutritious suppers during your afterschool program can boost attendance and improve behavior.
Learn the basics of the program from experts, hear from afterschool program providers who are seeing the positive results first hand, and find out if your program is eligible to participate in Suppers and, if so, how to partner with food and nutrition services to make it happen.
Is your afterschool enrichment program located in a town with Supper eligible areas? If your afterschool enrichment program operates in one of the below towns, it may be eligible to participate in the federal Supper Program:

Bloomfield | Groton | New Haven | Vernon |
